Happy National Flag Day of Ukraine!

Today, our country celebrates an important national holiday – the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine, a symbol that embodies the unity, pride and invincibility of the Ukrainian people.

The history of this holiday dates back to 2004, when it was officially established in honor of the raising of the blue and yellow flag over the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1991, on the day of the declaration of Independence. However, the flag itself, as a national symbol, has a much longer history, reflecting the centuries-long struggle of our people for freedom and self-determination. In the context of Russia’s full-scale invasion, which began in 2022, the blue and yellow flag has become even more important.

It has become a global symbol of our courage, resilience, and desire for freedom. Despite all the challenges and difficulties, the Ukrainian flag proudly flies over the entire country, uniting millions of people in the struggle for a peaceful and sovereign future. On this day, we honor our heroes who sacrificed their lives for Ukraine’s independence and pay tribute to our national symbol, which embodies the strength and power of our nation.

Happy holiday!
